His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Mokhtar Al-Yafae, met today, Sunday, in the capital, Aden, with representatives of the National Network for Advocating for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. During the meeting, he was briefed on the Network's activities and its role in defending the rights of persons with disabilities and enhancing their presence and participation in various fields of life.

His Excellency Minister Al-Yafae listened to a brief presentation on the most prominent successes achieved by a number of persons with disabilities, who represent inspiring models of determination to overcome challenges and achieve their academic and professional aspirations, reflecting their ability to contribute effectively to society.

His Excellency the Minister affirmed that the issues of persons with disabilities receive special attention within the programs and plans of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, pointing to the Ministry's keenness to enhance policies and programs that ensure their full integration into society and enable them to access education and employment opportunities fairly.

His Excellency added that the Ministry, in coordination with other government entities and relevant partners, will work on developing rehabilitation and training programs and supporting curricula and educational aids for persons with disabilities, in line with the best standards and experiences, to enhance their opportunities for integration into society and the labor market.

For their part, the representatives of the National Network for Advocating for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities expressed their appreciation for His Excellency the Minister's interest and his direct concern to listen to their issues and aspirations. They affirmed the importance of supporting the rights of persons with disabilities in society, university education, and the labor market, to ensure their effective participation in the development process.
