Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Discusses Strengthening Cooperation in Social Protection and Development with the Libyan Ambassador

His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Mukhtar Al-Yafaei, met today at the Ministry’s headquarters in the capital, Aden, with His Excellency Idris Abu Bakr, Ambassador of the State of Libya to Yemen, to discuss ways of enhancing cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the fields of social protection and human development.
During the meeting, both sides discussed prospects for joint cooperation in vocational training and professional qualification, youth and women empowerment, and strengthening coordination in humanitarian work. They also addressed the exchange of expertise related to rebuilding social institutions and developing governance and oversight mechanisms for social welfare and protection programs.
During the meeting, Minister Al-Yafaei expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to Her Excellency Wafaa Abu Bakr Al-Kilani, Minister of Social Affairs in the Libyan Government, for the warm reception and generous hospitality extended to our country’s delegation during its recent participation in the conference held in the Libyan capital, Tripoli. He praised the gesture as a reflection of the deep fraternal relations and spirit of cooperation between the two brotherly nations.
The Minister also emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to expanding Arab partnerships, exchanging successful experiences in the field of social development, and benefiting from expertise in vocational training and labor market organization. He stressed the importance of continuing to hold joint conferences and workshops to exchange expertise and successful experiences in a manner that strengthens institutional capacity-building and supports efforts toward social stability and institutional recovery.
For his part, the Libyan Ambassador praised the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries, affirming his country’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Yemeni government and supporting efforts aimed at developing social welfare programs and building capacities in ways that serve mutual interests and contribute to stability and development.
