Ministers of Social Affairs and Labor and Youth and Sports Discuss Strengthening Cooperation to Empower Youth

His Excellency Mukhtar Al-Yafaei, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, met today with His Excellency Nayef Al-Bakri, Minister of Youth and Sports, at the Ministry of Youth and Sports headquarters in the interim capital, Aden, to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation and coordinating joint efforts between the two ministries in the areas of youth empowerment and social welfare.
The meeting reviewed mechanisms for activating partnerships with civil society organizations and institutions affiliated with both ministries to support summer programs and youth-focused awareness initiatives. Discussions also covered the organization of joint workshops and training programs in entrepreneurship, innovation, and volunteerism, aimed at enhancing young people's skills and preparing them for the labor market.
Minister Al-Yafaei underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and of building an integrated framework that provides young people with the confidence and opportunities they need to become genuine partners in national development and community service. He emphasized the implementation of high-impact programs designed to refine their skills, develop their capacities, promote their economic and social empowerment, and channel their potential into productive and constructive contributions, thereby fostering a generation that is more aware, capable, and actively engaged in shaping the nation's future.
For his part, Minister Al-Bakri stressed that close coordination between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor constitutes a fundamental pillar in serving young people and adolescents, who represent the largest and most vital segment of society. He noted that unifying efforts and implementing high-quality joint programs would contribute to their economic and social empowerment, strengthen their skills, and create an enabling environment for unlocking their talents, creativity, and full potential.
