Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, met with Mukhtar Al-Yafei, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, in a meeting dedicated to discussing the priorities of the upcoming phase. The meeting comes within the framework of a series of consultations he is holding with several ministers of the Government of National Competencies.

Dr. Al-Alimi congratulated Minister Al-Yafei on gaining confidence, emphasizing the importance of the government commencing its work from within the country, relying on sincere fraternal support from brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a strong national will, and an urgent priority program. This program places at the forefront of its tasks improving security, service, and development conditions in the liberated governorates, strengthening stability, and fulfilling unavoidable obligations toward citizens.

He stressed the necessity of ensuring the regular payment of salaries, caring for the families of martyrs, addressing the file of the wounded, empowering local authorities, and mobilizing resources to consolidate the internal front, in preparation for completing the restoration of the state and asserting its sovereignty over all its territory.

The Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council also underscored the importance of enhancing the efficiency of state institutions, strengthening human resource capacities, and continuing institutional, economic, and financial reforms. These include protecting the national currency, developing resources, regulating revenues, rationalizing expenditures, activating governance and oversight mechanisms, and combating corruption, smuggling, and terrorism.

He further highlighted the central importance of strengthening the strategic partnership with brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, improving the humanitarian response in coordination with regional and international partners, and reinforcing partnership with the private sector. He affirmed that the Council relies on all national competencies, including women cadres, to enhance discipline and effectiveness in government performance.

For his part, the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor affirmed that the directives of the Presidential Leadership Council constitute a reference framework for the Ministry’s work during the next phase, with a commitment to implementing reform programs and improving the level of social services and care provided to citizens.
