The chairman and members of the arbitration committee responsible for resolving labor disputes in the capital Aden and the governorates of Lahj, Abyan, and Al-Dhalea took the legal oath this morning at the ministry's headquarters in the capital Aden, following the committee’s reformation. The oath was taken before His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Zouari, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor.
The oath-taking was based on Article (138) of Law No. (5) of 1995 concerning the Labor Law and its amendments, which stipulates that “the chairman and members of the arbitration committee shall take the oath before the Minister.”
Following the ceremony, Minister Al-Zouari met with the committee members, emphasizing the importance of carrying out their duties with honesty, integrity, and impartiality. He urged them to expedite the resolution of submitted or referred cases in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations, highlighting the need to establish a clear work plan and schedule regular sessions to adjudicate labor disputes.
For their part, Committee Chairman Mr. Mursi Ahmed Al-Zubaidi (representing the Ministry), and committee members Mr. Hamid Omar Bahwerth (representing labor unions), and Ms. Widad Wajdi Abdullah (representing the Chamber of Commerce and Industry), expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the Minister for his attention to labor issues. They affirmed their readiness to immediately commence their duties in accordance with the issued directives.
