The Deputy Minister of Social Welfare Meets with "Doctors Without Borders" Representatives and Reviews the 2025 Child Care Plan.

The Social Protection Advisory Committee (SPAC) held its 29th meeting today in Aden, under the chairmanship of HE Minister of Social Affairs and Labour Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Zaouri, Chairman of the Committee.


At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister welcomed the members of the committee, congratulated them on the holy month of Ramadan, and stressed the importance of exploring options for national and international funding for projects included in the Strategic Framework for Social Protection (2025-2030). He also emphasised the need to make the necessary arrangements and discuss potential challenges that may hinder the implementation of these projects.


Dr. Zaoury stressed the importance of effective coordination between all stakeholders in the field of social protection, pointing out the need to prioritise programmes to ensure the expansion of coverage, in order to achieve universal coverage.

During the meeting, the committee member representing the Ministry of Health and Population, Mr. Mansour Mohammed Abdullah, presented a model implementation plan for the programme and activities in the field of health insurance. The committee members discussed all necessary steps and procedures with amendments and will be adopted as a working model after its approval at the next meeting of the committee and will be applied to all programmes, projects, activities and initiatives according to the priorities and available local funds and unfunded projects, with classification according to their feasibility, funding requirements, and expected impact.
