Advisory Committee Discusses Draft Regulatory By-Law for the Strategic Framework on Social Protection
The Social Protection Advisory Committee held its thirtieth meeting in the capital, Aden, this morning under the slogan “Towards Achieving Sustainable Social Protection”, chaired by H.E. Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Zaouri, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and Chairman of the Committee. Ministry of Social Affairs in the Capital Aden Strongly Condemns the Houthi Militias’ Arrest of Several UN Employees
The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor in the capital Aden has been closely following the irresponsible violations committed by the terrorist Houthi militias on Sunday morning, when they stormed the offices of United Nations agencies in Sana’a and arrested several of their employees. The Ministry strongly condemns these actions by the terrorist Houthi militias, considering them a blatant breach of international norms and conventions, and a direct threat to humanitarian and relief work in Yemen. Such acts demand a firm stance from the international community and the United Nations.

Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor Council Commends the Role of the Swiss Government in Supporting the Child Protection Plan in Our Country
The Council of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor expressed its sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Swiss government, represented by His Excellency Ambassador to our country, Mr. Thomas Orell, who reaffirmed his government’s continued support for the efforts of the Yemeni government and the Ministry in implementing social protection programs and the Child Protection Plan. He also praised the efforts exerted by the Ministry and its staff despite the challenges, difficulties, and limited resources—particularly in finalizing the National Child Protection Plan for the period 2026–2029.
