His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Zauri, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, met this morning in his office in the capital Aden with a delegation from Kuwait Zakat House to discuss ways to expand the scope of humanitarian and service projects implemented by the
State of Kuwait in our country.
The meeting aimed to enhance essential public services, especially in remote and underserved areas.
The discussions covered the possibility of broadening Kuwaiti support to include the provision of life-saving humanitarian aid to the most vulnerable groups in society, supporting programs for the care and rehabilitation of persons with disabilities, providing prosthetic devices and electric wheelchairs, strengthening the operational capacity of elderly care homes, protecting children, supporting the education sector, and supplying essential medical equipment and devices to health centers, particularly in rural areas.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Al-Zauri expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude to the State of Kuwait—its government and people—for their generous support and noble humanitarian stances. He commended the efforts of Kuwait Zakat House, which reflect the depth of the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries.
The Minister affirmed that Kuwait has always been, and continues to be, a model in humanitarian and relief work, pointing to the success of the recent emergency relief project funded by Kuwait Zakat House for those affected by the floods and heavy rains that struck districts of Aden and Lahj Governorate last August.
For his part, the head of the Kuwait Zakat House delegation expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Minister Al-Zauri for the great facilities provided by the ministry to ensure the success of their humanitarian projects.
