Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor in Aden Urges Business Establishments to Expedite Submission of Employee Data

The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor in the capital, Aden, today called on all business establishments and both for-profit and non-profit institutions to promptly submit their employee data to the ministry and its relevant branches


In an official circular, the ministry clarified that this step is based on Labor Law No. (5) of 1995 and its executive regulations, and is part of its efforts to regulate the labor market and monitor foreign labor.


The ministry requested that the concerned establishments provide several essential pieces of information, including:


1. The name of the establishment, its location, date of establishment, nature of its activity, number of employees, and the name of the person in charge.


2. A written report of job vacancies, in accordance with Article (14) of the Labor Law.


3. Registration of local workers with the ministry, and issuance of health fitness certificates and work ID cards for them.


4. Obtaining prior approval from the ministry before recruiting foreign labor, as a prerequisite for issuing their work permits.


5. Official registration of employment contracts and internal organizational regulations with the ministry.


The ministry stressed the importance of full compliance with the contents of the circular and the instructions therein, emphasizing that this aims to enhance professional organization and ensure stability in the labor market.
