Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Meets with the U.S. Ambassador to Our Country

His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Mokhtar Al-Yafei, met today with His Excellency the Ambassador of the United States of America to our country, Mr. Steven Fagin. During the meeting, they reviewed aspects of joint cooperation in humanitarian and development fields, as well as ways to support efforts aimed at enhancing stability and improving citizens’ living conditions.
During the meeting, Minister Al-Yafei emphasized the importance of supporting the government’s efforts in implementing the economic reform program and enabling it to carry out its national responsibilities under the leadership of His Excellency the Prime Minister, Dr. Shaye’ Al-Zindani. This, he noted, would strengthen the state’s capacity to improve the level of basic services, alleviate citizens’ suffering, and respond effectively to economic and humanitarian challenges, in addition to advancing institutional performance and increasing efficiency across various vital sectors.
The meeting also addressed the importance of expanding partnerships with friends in the international community to support social protection programs, empower the most vulnerable groups, and enhance the role of institutions in delivering services efficiently and effectively.
Furthermore, discussions covered the significance of the upcoming Southern Dialogue scheduled to be held in the capital, Riyadh, under the patronage of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Minister stressed that this dialogue represents a pivotal milestone for strengthening southern national consensus, unifying efforts, and building a genuine partnership that contributes to consolidating stability and enhancing prospects for peace.
The Minister underscored the necessity of supporting the dialogue and ensuring its success in a manner that reflects the aspirations of our people and contributes to creating a conducive environment for development while enhancing security and stability in the coming phase.
