His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Zouari, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, was briefed this morning at his office in the capital Aden on the activities and projects of the Gulf and Aden Authority for Development and Humanitarian Services. This came during his meeting with the Chairman of the Authority’s Board of Directors, Mr. Fahd Abdullah Al-Burri, and the Executive Director, Mr. Saif Aqeel Al-Yahri.


The meeting reviewed the key charitable and humanitarian projects implemented by the Authority, which benefit thousands of citizens. Foremost among these is the medical and treatment services provided through the Aden Cooperative Charitable Hospital, a humanitarian institution offering healthcare at symbolic fees that align with the difficult living conditions of low-income families. Also discussed was the Aden Charitable Bakeries Project, which distributes over 61,000 free meals daily to the poor and needy. Other initiatives include orphan sponsorship programs, food basket distribution, and the Eid sacrifice and food support projects targeting the most vulnerable communities in the capital Aden and surrounding areas.


Minister Al-Zouari expressed his deep appreciation for the Authority’s efforts in both charitable and developmental fields, praising its vital role in alleviating the suffering of citizens, especially those unable to afford medical treatment or access food.


His Excellency commended the Authority’s performance and its sustainable initiatives, affirming the Ministry’s full support for all its projects and its commitment to providing the necessary facilitation to ensure their continuity and expansion in serving society.


He also called on all government entities and the private sector to strengthen their partnership with the Authority and support its projects, given their direct impact on improving the lives of marginalized and vulnerable groups.


For his part, Mr. Fahd Al-Burri expressed his sincere thanks to Minister Al-Zouari, commending his consistent support for the Authority since its establishment and his keenness to remove obstacles and provide an enabling environment for the success of charitable work. Ministries of Social Affairs and Transport Discuss Draft of Yemen’s Accession to the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC)

Al-Zawari: Society Faces a Grave Humanitarian Challenge… and 600,000 Food Baskets to Alleviate the Suffering

He pointed out that the country is going through a dangerously critical economic and humanitarian situation.
