Minister of Social Affairs and Labour Meets Representatives of the Amputee Football Federation - Aden BranchMinistry

His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs and Labour, Mukhtar Al-Yafei, met today in the capital, Aden, with representatives of the Yemen Amputee Football Federation - Aden Branch. The meeting aimed to review the federation's activities and programs designed to develop the sport of amputee football, in addition to discussing the most prominent challenges and needs facing the federation's work in this field.
His Excellency Minister Al-Yafei affirmed the ministry's commitment to supporting issues related to persons with disabilities and enhancing rehabilitation, empowerment, and community integration programs. He pointed out that sports activities represent one of the important avenues for building self-confidence and expanding opportunities for community participation for this group, thereby contributing to highlighting their abilities and potentials.His Excellency the Minister explained that the ministry, within its plans and programs, is working on developing rehabilitation center services and strengthening the social protection system for persons with disabilities. This is achieved through coordination with relevant government entities and partners, ensuring the provision of more effective programs that contribute to their rehabilitation, empowerment, and enhanced presence in various fields.For his part, the President of the Federation, Wissam Al-Qadiri, reviewed the federation's key activities and plans for developing amputee football, along with initiatives aimed at expanding their participation in sports and community activities.
He pointed out several needs related to specialized equipment and training and rehabilitation programs, to help support this group and enhance their presence in society.
