His Excellency Mr. Mukhtar Al-Yafei, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, took the constitutional oath today before His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, alongside his fellow ministers in the Government headed by Prime Minister Dr. Shaea’ Al-Zandani.
Following the oath-taking ceremony, His Excellency expressed his profound appreciation, pride, and sincere gratitude to the President and Members of the Presidential Leadership Council, as well as to the Prime Minister, for the confidence placed in him by entrusting him with the leadership of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor. He noted that this confidence is the result of a national, consensus-based political process and a true embodiment of partnership in bearing responsibility during a critical phase, in a manner that serves the stability of state institutions and strengthens their presence and role.
His Excellency emphasized that this trust represents a heightened national responsibility, pledging—by the grace of God—to work with a unified team spirit and in effective partnership with the ministry’s cadres and employees, its affiliated bodies, as well as with unions, syndicates, and civil society organizations, to advance the ministry’s mandate, improve the reality of social and labor affairs, strengthen the social protection system, and serve the most vulnerable groups.
He also expressed his deep appreciation and respect for his brother and predecessor, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Zouari, former Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, for the sincere efforts and diligent work he exerted during his tenure, and for the qualitative contributions he made that helped consolidate institutional work and enhance its performance, wishing him continued success in his future endeavors.
Furthermore, His Excellency highly commended the sincere fraternal role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting the government and its steadfast support for our people under various circumstances and challenges, contributing to the strengthening of stability and supporting the path of recovery and reconstruction.
