His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Zaouri, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, received in his office this morning the delegation of the Businessmen’s Club in the capital, Aden, headed by Mr. Mohammed Al-Habshi, Chairman of the Club, and Ms. Sarah Mahfouz Al-Shaabi, Executive Director.
During the meeting, Minister Al-Zaouri was briefed on the activities and programs of the Businessmen’s Club, which contribute to creating a supportive and stimulating business environment that serves development, investment, and economic stability. He also learned about the Club’s role in building effective partnerships between the private sector, the government sector, and civil society organizations, in a way that supports achieving sustainable development and improving citizens’ living conditions. The Minister called on the Club to contribute to supporting and developing productive family programs, considering them one of the pillars of the country’s national income. He noted that there are families with various crafts and professions that need initial support to participate in development efforts and to continue providing national products that contribute to revitalizing commercial and investment activity and supplying the local market.
For his part, the Club Chairman referred to the first exhibition for business companies (BC EXPO) organized by the Club in the capital, Aden, during the period August 4–6 of this year. The event was characterized by supporting economic activity and promoting national products and services. He welcomed the partnership with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the support for productive family programs, as well as the development of their capacities in a way that helps create social and commercial networks and enhances the presence of member companies’ products in the local market.
