Minister Al-Yafei Discusses Development Priorities and Programs with the Acting Executive Director of the Social Fund for Development

His Excellency Mukhtar Al-Yafei, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Social Fund for Development (SFD), met today at the Ministry's headquarters in the interim capital, Aden, with Mohammed Al-Ban, Acting Executive Director of the Social Fund for Development, to discuss the Fund's priorities for the coming phase, as well as the progress of its development and social programs and projects across the country's governorates.
During the meeting, the Minister received a comprehensive briefing on the Fund's operational plans, its key priorities, and mechanisms for enhancing institutional performance and improving the efficiency of its development programs and projects. The discussion also focused on aligning the Fund's work with national priorities, expanding the impact of development interventions, and improving the quality of services delivered to targeted beneficiaries.
The Minister emphasized that the Social Fund for Development is one of the country's leading national institutions for implementing development and social programs. He underscored the importance of continuously strengthening the Fund's institutional performance, enhancing the effectiveness of its projects, and building the capacities of local communities in a manner that responds to development needs and contributes to improving livelihoods.
Minister Al-Yafei reaffirmed his commitment to closely following the Fund's performance and expressed his confidence in the continued efforts to further enhance its institutional capacity and implement development programs that support national development and social protection objectives.
For his part, Acting Executive Director of the Social Fund for Development, Mohammed Al-Ban, affirmed the Fund's continued commitment to implementing its programs and projects in line with national development priorities.
