Minister Al-Zouari Explores Cooperation with the Islamic Work Center to Enhance Social Protection and Empower Youth and Women

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Zouari, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and Chairman of the 51st Session of the Arab Labor Conference, met with Mr. Azar Bayramov, Director General of the Islamic Work Center affiliated with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to explore ways of enhancing cooperation between the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the Islamic Work Center in several vital areas. These include the exchange of expertise and resources to build the capacity of ministry staff and the development of its electronic platform.


The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 51st session of the Arab Labor Conference currently being held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.


During the meeting, the two sides discussed the importance of protecting workers' rights and ensuring occupational safety and health by supporting the ministry with necessary inspection equipment and supplies, in addition to strengthening field inspection teams.


The discussions also covered mechanisms for empowering women economically and socially, enhancing their role in the labor market and decision-making processes, and supporting youth to enable their integration into the labor market in accordance with its needs, while also promoting social care and development.


Dr. Al-Zouari emphasized the importance of partnership with the Islamic Work Center as a key ally in supporting social care and development efforts. He proposed the signing of a future cooperation agreement and memoranda of understanding in line with international agreement protocols between international organizations and Arab countries.
