His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Mukhtar Al-Yafaei, met today in the capital, Aden, with a distinguished group of young activists who are active on social media platforms and within civil society organizations.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Civil Service and Insurance, Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi.
At the outset of the meeting, Minister Al-Yafaei congratulated the attendees on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, commending the vital societal role played by young people through social media platforms and civil society organizations.
He highlighted their contribution to shaping youth orientations, influencing social, moral, and ethical values, and strengthening intellectual convictions and aspirations.
Minister Al-Yafaei called upon young people to uphold their responsibilities in serving local communities, reinforcing their stability, promoting a culture of acceptance of others, fostering the spirit of humanitarian and volunteer work, supporting families in need, and confronting calls for discord and regional divisions.
For his part, Minister Al-Awlaqi emphasized the importance of raising community awareness during this challenging phase by encouraging youth to adopt a culture of positive dialogue based on mutual respect and acceptance of differing opinions.
He stressed the need to bridge viewpoints, strengthen communication within society, move away from conflicts, and replace them with development pathways to establish a new, effective generation committed to construction and stability.
The meeting also addressed a range of current social issues and the challenges facing young people. Participants underscored the importance of unifying youth and community efforts and initiatives to enhance social stability and support development paths in a manner that serves the nation’s present and future.
In the same context, the young activists praised the national roles of Ministers Al-Yafaei and Al-Awlaqi, affirming their support for all efforts aimed at strengthening living conditions, public services, and security stability in the capital, Aden.
