.Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Meets with Yanabee Al-Khair Foundation

His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Mukhtar Al-Yafaei, met today with the Yanabee Al-Khair Foundation as part of efforts to strengthen partnerships with civil society organizations and to review the Foundation’s humanitarian and development interventions across several vital sectors.
During the meeting, Minister Al-Yafaei listened to a brief presentation outlining the Foundation’s activities in various fields, including education, health, nutrition, water, food security and livelihoods, and camp management, in addition to a number of humanitarian and development programs and projects implemented on the ground.
The Minister emphasized the importance of measuring the actual impact of implemented projects and the extent to which communities benefit from them, in order to ensure tangible and sustainable results. He stressed the need for these projects to align with the state’s general policies and local authority plans, contributing to unified efforts and avoiding duplication in humanitarian and development work.
He further noted that the Ministry is working to build an effective participatory relationship with civil society organizations based on direct coordination, information sharing, and the unification of efforts to implement sustainable development projects.
He highlighted the shift from emergency relief work toward long-term empowerment programs, underscoring the importance of a well-regulated legal framework that ensures effectiveness and strengthens oversight, while also providing space for civil initiatives and involving them in the design of social policies and programs.
For his part, the Foundation’s Chairman, Tawfiq Mohammed Hussein, expressed appreciation for the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with civil society organizations. He affirmed the Foundation’s dedication to expanding its interventions across various humanitarian and development sectors in a way that empowers beneficiaries and enhances the sustainability of projects.
