Deputy Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Launches Hearing Aid Fitting for the Deaf in Aden

Mr. Saleh Mahmoud Abu Suhail, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor for the Social Welfare Sector, today launched the preliminary medical examination process as a prelude to the distribution of hearing aids for individuals with hearing disabilities. He was accompanied by Ms. I'tidal Abdulhamid Salam, Advisor to the Honorable Minister for Disability Affairs.
The initiative aims to distribute 235 hearing aids, supported by the humanitarian organization "Human Appeal," to a number of beneficiaries from various age groups. Among the recipients are residents of the Elderly Home in the Sheikh Othman District, as well as beneficiaries of the "Rumuz" Developmental Foundation for People with Special Needs.
In a statement, Undersecretary Abu Suhail explained that this process is part of ongoing efforts to alleviate the suffering of people with special needs who meet the eligibility criteria. He pointed out that the target groups include both the elderly and children, emphasizing that such humanitarian initiatives directly contribute to improving the beneficiaries' quality of life and facilitating their integration into society.
For his part, the Program Coordinator at "Human Appeal" confirmed that the organization is working to bring joy to the hearts of deserving individuals suffering from hearing loss or impairment by providing the necessary support to help them overcome challenges.
