Minister Al-Zaury Meets with STC Presidium Member Fadi Baoum

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Zaury, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, met this morning at his office in the capital, Aden, with Mr. Fadi Baoum, Member of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and General Supervisor of Anti-Corruption Efforts.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Al-Zaury welcomed Baoum's visit to the ministry and his interest in learning about its activities, as well as the developmental and service projects implemented by civil society organizations and international agencies.

 

The discussions highlighted the ministry’s achievements in various sectors over the past period, most notably the recent launch of the Strategic Framework for Social Protection in Yemen (2025-2030). Both parties reaffirmed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the ministry and the STC Presidium.

 

Additionally, the meeting addressed key issues, including the challenging economic and living conditions faced by people in the southern governorates and liberated areas, as well as the difficulties encountered by the ministry in carrying out its duties.

 

For his part, Fadi Baoum commended the ministry’s role and accomplishments across different sectors despite the difficult circumstances. He praised Minister Al-Zaury's efforts in enhancing the ministry’s performance, implementing its assigned tasks, and advancing administrative and technical development. He also expressed his sincere appreciation to the minister and his team for their dedication and hard work.

 

The meeting was attended by Munif Al-Mahrabi, Director General of Legal Affairs and Head of the Minister’s Office; Mohammed Ali Al-Samati, Director General of Associations; Fawaz Hezam, Director General of Financial Affairs; Adnan Saeed, Director of Public Relations and Media; and Halima Abdullah, Vice President of the Anti-Corruption Union.
