His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Mukhtar Al-Yafai, conducted today an inspection visit to the project for the construction and of the Rehabilitation Center for Children with Disabilities in the capital, Aden.

During the tour, which was accompanied by the Director of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen Office in Aden, Eng. Ahmed Madkhali, the Minister was briefed by the Project Director, Eng. Khaled Al-Qahtani, on the progress of work, the timeline for completion, implementation phases, project plans, and the affiliated workshops. He also listened to a presentation from the Health Portfolio Director of the Program, Eng. Tariq Al-Zaidi, regarding training and qualification programs for young staff on the center’s equipment, as well as mechanisms for transferring technical expertise to local personnel.

His Excellency praised the level of achievement and quality of work, stressing the importance of the project in caring for children with disabilities as a vital segment of society. He noted that the project was implemented in response to a request for the Program’s intervention to support this important group of children.

He also emphasized the need to address the issues facing children with disabilities, find solutions that help alleviate their suffering, provide them with the necessary care, and integrate them into society, in addition to activating the role of the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled to provide the required assistance.

His Excellency expressed his appreciation to the leadership and people of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to the management of the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction, represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Ambassador to our country, Ambassador Mohammed Al-Jaber, as well as to the Program’s team in Aden, for their significant efforts in supporting humanitarian and development projects in our country.
