Today, Thursday, in the Qatari capital, Doha, our country signed the statute of the Labor Center affiliated with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The signing took place on the sidelines of the participation of our country’s delegation, headed by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Zaouri, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, in the sixth session of the Islamic Conference of Labor Ministers, which concluded its proceedings this evening.
The center aims to enhance cooperation and integration among member states in the fields of social development and labor, as well as to exchange expertise and best practices. This will contribute to supporting the efforts of Islamic countries in addressing the challenges of globalization, achieving sustainable development, and promoting social protection and decent employment for the workforce.
The center also seeks to coordinate with relevant regional and international organizations and centers to ensure the implementation of the work framework and the resolutions issued by the Conferences of Labor Ministers in member states.
The signing of our country on the statute of the Islamic Labor Center comes as a prelude to submitting it to the Council of Ministers to complete the necessary legal procedures for its ratification
