Today, Wednesday, the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Ma'een Al-Yafei, visited the "Al-Haq fi Al-Hayat" (Right to Life) Foundation for Children with Cerebral Palsy. This visit is part of the Ministry's commitment to social protection and its efforts to enhance rehabilitation and care services for children with disabilities.

During the visit, accompanied by his Deputy, Dr. Sadiq Al-Jama'i, and received by the Foundation's Executive Director, Dr. Farah Madhi, the Minister was given a detailed briefing on the Foundation's various programs and activities. He toured the Foundation's departments and classrooms, learning about the services provided. These include physical, occupational, and speech therapy, early intervention programs, behavior modification, special education, alongside formal education, kindergarten services, and residential care for orphaned children with cerebral palsy. He was also briefed on the most significant challenges hindering the Foundation's work.

During the visit, the Minister heard several success stories of children who, through the rehabilitation programs, had overcome advanced stages of their condition, regained some mobility, and reduced the effects of the disease. He was also updated on the efforts made to improve the quality of life for this group and empower them to integrate into their families and society.

The Minister affirmed that the Ministry pays special attention to the rehabilitation and training programs for children with special needs, particularly those with cerebral palsy. He emphasized the importance of improving their quality of life by adopting comprehensive rehabilitation systems that enable them to lead a normal life and enhance their opportunities for integration into society alongside their peers.

The Minister pointed out that supporting such institutions is at the core of the Ministry's directions, aiming to adopt sustainable programs in the field of care and rehabilitation, build effective partnerships with relevant entities inside and outside the country, and enhance awareness of prevention and early intervention methods. He added that this also includes equipping children with life skills and behavioral habits that help transform them into active and productive members of society. He expressed his admiration and appreciation for the significant humanitarian service the Foundation provides to this important group.

For her part, the Executive Director of the Foundation, Dr. Farah Madhi, expressed her appreciation for the Minister's visit and his direct interest. She affirmed that the Foundation is moving forward with improving the health and social status of children with cerebral palsy through comprehensive rehabilitation programs. These programs aim to mitigate the progression of the disability, boost the morale of the children and their families, and build cooperative relationships with relevant government agencies, ultimately contributing to the provision of the best services and achieving a positive and sustainable impact.
