Minister of Social Affairs and Labour Meets Minister of Legal Affairs to Enhance Institutional and Legal Coordination

Minister of Social Affairs and Labour Mukhtar Al-Yafaei met today with Minister of Legal Affairs Judge Ishraq Al-Maqtari to discuss ways to strengthen coordination and cooperation between the two ministries across a range of legal and regulatory areas of mutual interest. The discussions aimed at improving institutional performance and ensuring greater integration of efforts in areas falling within their respective mandates.
The meeting, held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Legal Affairs in the capital, Aden, addressed mechanisms for cooperation in reviewing legal and regulatory matters, addressing relevant legislative needs, strengthening coordination at the governorate level, and making effective use of the structures and entities affiliated with both ministries. The two sides also discussed cooperation in promoting legal awareness and implementing programs and activities aimed at enhancing public understanding of rights and responsibilities and fostering a culture of respect for the law.
Minister Al-Yafaei underscored the importance of maintaining continued coordination between the two ministries and drawing on the expertise and mandates of the Ministry of Legal Affairs in legal and legislative matters relevant to the work of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour and its affiliated entities. He noted that such cooperation would strengthen institutional integration and improve operational efficiency.
For her part, Minister Al-Maqtari emphasized the importance of expanding areas of coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour, particularly on issues where social considerations intersect with legal and regulatory frameworks. She noted that enhanced cooperation would contribute to improving the performance of the institutions concerned and strengthening the rule of law.
